Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper execution of projects under their supervision, ensuring timely completion within budgeted deadlines and costs. This includes:

  • Structuring project launches, evaluating risks, setting financial objectives, and implementing effective communication plans;
  • Defining technical strategies and supply plans in collaboration with the System Engineer and Procurement Department;
  • Developing general and detailed planning, as well as coordinating activities to meet established contractual and financial objectives;
  • Maintaining compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, quality, and health & safety standards;
  • Organizing team meetings, preparing minutes, and defining actions for the team during project execution;
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Manager to analyze and prepare documentation for project reviews;
  • Evaluating risks and opportunities, identifying potential financial variances, and suggesting contingency plans;
  • Implementing contingency plans to correct failures or inadequacies impacting project results (costs, schedule, quality);
  • Negotiating customer claims with the support of the Commercial Manager;
  • Closing out projects once activities are completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in project management for heavy industry projects, preferably in hydroelectricity or energy-producing equipment and manufacturing;
  • Proven experience and accomplishments in efficiently managing complex projects with accelerated schedules;
  • Leadership and team spirit, with a willingness to innovate;
  • Excellent listening skills, verbal, and written communication skills, with proficiency in English; and availability to travel, as necessary;
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and PMP certification, if applicable.
