Job Title: Educational Counsellor

CanNorth College of Health, Business, and Technology is seeking a highly motivated and organized Educational Counsellor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Educational Counsellor to provide guidance and support to students regarding their educational, career, and personal goals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of post-secondary education and be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic and career guidance to students, including advice on course selection, career paths, and post-graduation opportunities.
  • Counsel students on personal and social issues, such as time management, stress, and mental health.
  • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of educational programs and services.
  • Collaborate with employers to arrange recruitment opportunities for graduating students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a post-secondary educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
