About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Motion Logistics Ltd.

Job Summary

This is a dynamic role that requires exceptional leadership skills and expertise in logistics operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing finances, arranging shipping, ensuring compliance, negotiating services, overseeing scheduling, monitoring revenue, organizing inventory, compiling statistics, and recruiting staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage company finances, create budgets, and optimize financial performance.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Arrange transportation, manage shipping schedules, and track shipments efficiently.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and minimize risks.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate services and rates with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with stakeholders.
  • Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee daily operations, manage dispatchers, and ensure efficient scheduling.
  • Revenue Monitoring: Monitor revenue streams, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to increase revenue.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, optimize storage capacity, and streamline inventory management processes.
  • Recruitment and Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations management, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
