Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Nova Scotia Provincial Programs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, and enhancing technology solutions for drug claims processing platforms and other NSPP business area technology solutions.

This role involves gathering business requirements, working with IT teams to design technical solutions, and ensuring systems align with organizational goals and program policies and standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, high technical aptitude, excellent oral and written communications skills, and experience with Agile methodologies and business analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and validate complex business requirements for Pharmacare technology and portals.
  • Design solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring compliance and optimal user experience.
  • Support integration with third-party platforms and analyze data for trends and process improvements.
  • Assist in the execution of various business area projects, ensuring timely delivery, issue resolution, and post-implementation support.
  • Define test cases, conduct testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Liaise between technical teams and stakeholders, providing regular status updates and ensuring alignment.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation for all system configurations, project requirements, user stories, test cases, and process workflows.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve technical and functional issues related to pharmacare systems and portals.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
  • Acquire a thorough working knowledge of provincial government funded insurance plans and methods of processing claims or transactions and collecting data for each of these programs or technology.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience:3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in healthcare or drug program domains. Familiarity with claims processing and patient management systems.

Other Qualifications:Strong analytical skills with high technical aptitude, high level of accuracy and attention to detail, excellent oral and written communications skills, and ability to analyze, prioritize, and support day-to-day technical operational data requests submitted by business stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Location:Remote work available within NS, NB, ON, QC regions.
