About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at XL FOOD INC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including food preparation, presentation, and plating.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Monitor and address any quality control issues promptly and effectively.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language
    • English.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment.

    • Time management.
