About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Right-of-Way Sprayer to join our team at Wright Canada Holdings Ltd. As a Utility Right-of-Way Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying herbicides to fast-growing tree species within powerline ROWs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Broadcast and selective treatment of fast-growing tree species within powerline ROWs
- Be an active participant in our safety system, attend tailgate meetings and complete required training
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain and respect your equipment
- Follow the direction of the supervisor
- Space off flagged boundaries and riparian areas
- Wait for ideal weather conditions
- Work in assigned areas, which may involve frequent travel
Requirements:
- The physical ability to perform in a demanding environment
- The ability to carry 50+ pounds on your back
- The repeated use of pumping arm and the repeated swing of spray arm
- The ability to walk rapidly over debris on uneven terrain
- The ability to work well individually and as part of a team
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions
- Decision making skills
- Willingness to work, enjoy, and live in a remote setting
- Preparation for work in all weather conditions
- Commitment to finishing the project
- A good work ethic, a positive attitude & willingness to contribute
What You Can Expect:
- A weather-dependent work schedule
- A competitive rate of $27.50 per pack or fair hourly equivalent as needed
- Training and mentorship
- Hotel accommodations with kitchenettes where available
- Working with UTVs in remote/hard-to-access locations
- Experienced supervisors and crew leaders
- A proactive approach to safety and injury prevention

- Rubber caulked boots
- Clothes for all weather conditions (safety coveralls will be provided)

- Drinking water (minimum 2L per day)
