About the Role

The Chair will be responsible for leading and managing a department at Camosun College. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our institution and ensuring that our students receive the highest quality education.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have significant experience in teaching and educational development, with a strong track record of leadership and collaboration. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of faculty and staff
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve departmental and college-wide goals
  • Mentoring and supporting faculty members in their professional development

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualified in at least one area of the department's expertise
  • Three years of full-time teaching or educational development experience at the post-secondary level
