About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at The Westin Resort & Spa Whistler. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities
    • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Inspect and Maintain High Standards
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns, working with the team to resolve them promptly.
  • Assist with Training and Development
    • Provide training and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
    • Work with the team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role, with a focus on supervision or management.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
