At BEAVER TRANSPORTATION INC., we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will also include ordering parts and maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping maintenance reports and documentation, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, as well as perform repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments and working tools. You will verify and repair emission control systems and perform other routine maintenance tasks.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The work environment is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, and manual dexterity. You must be accurate, client-focused, dependable, have excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, and reliability.

Experience

We are looking for a candidate with 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role. The work schedule is 35 hours per week, and the language of work is English.
