Lead Test Architect for HRIS Projects in Higher Education

We are seeking a Lead Test Architect to join our team at S.i. Systèmes, where you will play a key role in developing test strategies and plans for HRIS projects within the higher education sector.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Quality Assurance Tester with expertise in software testing, automation, and performance testing to lead our testing efforts. As a Senior Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts, as well as collaborating closely with project teams to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and associated presentation materials to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and update templates for test cases and test scripts to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Review existing test cases and test scripts and provide constructive feedback to improve quality.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure test cases and test scripts meet project requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with testers to review progress, escalate issues, and provide guidance.
  • Prepare and update defect and issue reports to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Contribute to project weekly status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Responsible for finalizing software quality reports to document project success.
  • Create and maintain a test calendar to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Making recommendations for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure smooth transition.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester, with 8+ years of experience in software testing.
  • Proven expertise in implementing test automation and performance testing.
  • Experience working in the public sector or higher education sector is highly desirable.
  • Ability to translate user stories into functional and non-functional requirements and test artifacts.
  • Strong knowledge of QM concepts, methodologies, and testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 Project Management and ability to work in a multi-union environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
