Job Title: Senior Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Senior Medical Technologist will be responsible for assisting in the general operation of the laboratory, supervising other employees in the delivery of diagnostic services, and providing technical assistance. The incumbent will maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the general operation of the laboratory, including supervising other employees and providing technical assistance.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to other employees as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs and standards.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS.
  • Minimum three years recent related work experience required.
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
  • Current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM) required.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced academic achievement (e.g. A.R.T. or B.Sc.) preferred.
  • Relevant courses or seminars preferred.
  • Fluent language skills (written and oral) in both French and English may be required.
