Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations with professionalism and expertise.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, providing accurate and detailed reports as required.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with the transportation team.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Travel and Work Schedule: Willing to travel internationally and overnight, with a permanent work term and 40 hours of work per week.
