Job Overview

The Food Prep Worker plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and freshness of food items prepared for our clients. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and presenting food items in accordance with production requirements and Aramark's high standards for sanitation and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all food items using standardized recipes and prep lists to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Food Handling and Safety: Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate rotation of food to ensure top quality and freshness, and manage leftover foods correctly.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas, and ensure stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one-year prep work or food service-related work preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful. Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others, and demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
