We are seeking a highly skilled Archaeologist to join our team at AECOM, providing expert support in report writing and laboratory services for our cultural resources projects.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the composition of high-quality reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage and process cultural materials, conducting thorough analysis and interpretation of data.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement effective project strategies.
- Provide advice and consulting services to clients, leveraging expertise in cultural resources management.
- Draw conclusions and make recommendations based on analysis, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Work under general supervision, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and meeting project deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Resources, Heritage, Anthropology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in archaeological lab work, report writing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Ontario MCM's Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate logistics for multiple field teams.
- Experience with field effort tracking, including collection and management of field data.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to support projects from proposal to report completion.
- Basic knowledge of the heritage planning process, including identification of built heritage or cultural heritage landscapes.
- Additional experience in archaeological excavations.
- Valid Research or Professional class license issued by the Ontario MCM.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
