About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant at Blaisdale Montessori School. This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Assist children in developing good habits, including eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange the environment to ensure a safe and comfortable space for children during rest and meal times.
  • Contribute to the development of children's skills and abilities by providing written observations and feedback to educators.
Work Environment

This role is based in a child care centre, working closely with a team of educators and support staff to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability in meeting the needs of children and the school.
  • Ability to lift and move children and equipment as required.
