Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Blaisdale Montessori School.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves engaging children in activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing educational programs
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 to 40 hours per week. The work setting is a child care centre, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
