At RGBSI, we're seeking a skilled Automotive Quality Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring the highest quality standards in vehicle production. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, while also contributing to the development of geometric monitoring plans and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate Product Design and Process Quality: Utilize quality assurance fixtures to ensure product design meets specifications.
  • Develop Geometric Monitoring Plans: Collaborate with teams to develop plans for monitoring product quality at assembly lines.
  • Converge Geometric Quality in Industrialization Phase: Ensure product quality meets requirements before volume production.
  • Report Component and Assembly Quality Issues: Identify and report quality issues, facilitating communication between design, part conformity, and manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze Data and Optimize Solutions: Conduct analyses, identify optimization solutions, and define pilots to address quality issues.
  • Solve Interior Fit and Finish Issues: Read part dimensional data to resolve interior fit and finish problems.
  • Communicate Effectively: Deliver high-level presentations using Excel and PowerPoint, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead coordination activities with other company organizations such as HMI, Corp Quality, SQ & Perceived Quality as it relates to Interior Execution.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/Civil/Aerospace) from an ABET accredited university.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and/or Product Quality.
  • Technical Knowledge: APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual knowledge, statistical data analysis, metrology principles, Root Cause Analysis methods, and understanding of metrology principles and statistical analysis and process control.
  • Familiarity with Vehicle Design: Familiarity with vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
