Principal Health Economist / Principal Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Health Economist / Principal Modeler to lead our projects in health economics and modeling.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique research program producing rigorous evidence to support decision making.

You will be part of a strong team including Health Economists, Project Coordinators, Evidence Synthesis Specialists, and Research Librarians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret data and model results for presentation to stakeholders
  • Manage projects, timelines, budgets, and project teams
  • Potential to mentor and coach junior staff
  • Contribute to business development through writing proposals for existing and new project sponsors and grant opportunities
  • Contribute to the work within the health economics team to advance the team's work
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree in health economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

More than 3 years of post-degree experience working in an analytical role in health economics, statistics, health systems research and modeling, decision-analytic modeling, simulation, or optimization is required.

Experience with health technology assessment, data science, or economic evaluations alongside clinical trials is an asset.

Knowledge of Canadian health care systems and data is an asset.
