Aon is seeking a Global Benefits Captive Underwriting Specialist

Drive revenue and expansion for the Employee Benefits Financing – Captive Employee Benefits Services division within Global Benefits at a regional level in the US, by providing expert underwriting consultancy to clients.

The regional underwriter will play a pivotal role in delivering policy underwriting consultancy to US-based multinational corporations, guided by the global Head of Underwriting for Captive Employee Benefits Services.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for the Captive Employee Benefits Services advisory sector within Global Benefits Collaborate with client-specific account management teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of underwriting guidance Assess underwriting data processed by Aon ABS Create policy underwriting proposals for presentation to Risk and Insurance Management on the client side Share best practices and collaborate with other Regional HSM Underwriters under the leadership of the Head of Underwriting for Captive Employee Benefits Services Engage in underwriting discussions with Employee Benefits providers across the US client portfolio Design reinsurance underwriting programs tailored to meet specific client needs Analyze reinsurance financial statements from insurers and align them with captive underwriting reports Ensure compliance of claims reporting with client specifications Assist the captive team in managing accounts, implementing Employee Benefits captives, and conducting feasibility studies Opportunity for business growth with significant learning experiences A curious mindset with strong analytical and technical capabilities is essential Proficiency with numerical data is required

Captive Employee Benefits Services Consultant Profile

Deliver high-quality Captive Employee Benefits underwriting advice to ensure client satisfaction, indirectly contributing to the sales and revenue growth of the Captive Employee Benefits Services team Effectively organize and coordinate ABS resources to meet project and client deadlines, under the guidance of the Head of Underwriting Build a robust internal network of Aon colleagues involved in underwriting and captive services, as well as an external network of industry contacts

Essential Skills

In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of Employee Benefits underwriting and associated processes Familiarity with life reinsurance concepts Experience with global service delivery Team-oriented approach with a focus on collaboration and both personal and team development An actuarial background is advantageous but not mandatory Underwriting expertise is a plus Strong account management skills
