About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at EfficiencyOne. As a key member of our Custom Program, you will be responsible for managing Commercial/Institutional related energy efficiency projects. This role requires in-depth knowledge of energy analysis techniques, building engineering, and advanced measurement and verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of energy efficiency projects, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Work with the Program Manager to plan for long-term program development and stay up-to-date on market trends and technological developments.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to engage, recruit, and support customers.
  • Provide technical leadership to internal clients, including analysis, technical reviews, and evaluations.
  • Forecast energy targets and incentives based on current and past results.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the Custom program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and eligibility to practice as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in building automation systems and HVAC control strategies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated skills in attention to detail, customer focus, time management, and excellent oral and written communication.
  • Technical knowledge and aptitude related to energy efficiency measures, focusing on Commercial/Institutional facilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
What to Expect

In the first week, you will meet the Custom team, work with the Program Manager to learn standard program procedures, and get familiar with the general processes and how the program operates.

In the first month, you will become familiar with the program's process flow, learn how to navigate and use the program project tracking/management tools, and meet other team members within ENS with whom you will work closely.

In the first three months, you will administer Custom projects, including technical reviews of feasibility studies and M&V reports, and contribute to team/department initiatives.
