Deliver Quality Automation Solutions

As a Controls Lead with Brave Control Solutions Inc., you will be responsible for delivering high-quality custom automation solutions to our clients in various industries, including construction, automotive, food and beverage, and more.

Working closely with solution and project engineers, Controls Leads execute assigned engineering project tasks and communicate any issues or changes back to the solutions and project management team.

The day-to-day duties and responsibilities of Leads vary depending on project and customer requirements, but generally include:

  • Developing software code for PLC, Robot applications, and HMI from scratch
  • Safety Programming
  • Industrial electrical panel design and component selection
  • Testing, configuring, and integrating motion control solutions
  • Robotics and automation simulation
  • Leading debug and testing activities
  • Leading machine commissioning and start-up activities on the customer's site
  • Coordinating with specialists to complete project tasks and ensure quality standards are met
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a controls engineer or technologist
  • An engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience leading teams of 2-5 people
  • Experience estimating for quotes and proposals
