About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Wooden Nickel Saloon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are clean and sanitized at all times.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Scour pots and pans, and clean and sanitize kitchen appliances and equipment.
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.
    • Load buspans and trays.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
