Job Title: Production Test Technician

In this role, you will be a key member of our Logistics Center team, responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. As a Production Test Technician, you will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic set-up, calibration, and testing of computer hardware and software
  • Responsible for product hardware and software configuration work
  • Refurbish product, including repack, reimage, dissemble, reassemble, and clean product
  • Test and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, monitor, and computer-related accessories
  • Assist in developing test specifications from outlined written requirements or procedures, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
  • Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
  • Prepare technical reports
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
  • Assist with customer technical support when required
  • Provide product specification, product configuration, and details of service offerings to both internal associates and TD SYNNEX customers when required
  • Assist with bench repair work (repair PC, laptop, LCD monitor)
Requirements:
  • 1+ year related experience
  • Experience with electronics and computer-related product and peripheral equipment
  • Assembling computer and configuration of peripheral equipment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • College diploma or above in computer hardware and network-related area is an asset
  • A+ certification is an asset
  • Ability to complete the required technical training certification in order to get authorized as Service/Product test provider
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and implement test procedures from written documentation
  • Ability to review test procedures and understand failure analysis
  • Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
  • Meet weight lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to work with precision tolling in small places
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
