About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Shaw Lab Group. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for preparing plaster models and moulds, casting gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and maintaining and ordering supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental restorations
  • Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
  • Maintain and order supplies for the laboratory
  • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
  • Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
  • Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
  • Polish and buff dentures

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a commercial dental laboratory
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and team player
