Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to patients and staff, ensuring a high level of care and comfort in our facility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide basic supportive care as directed by healthcare professionals, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
  • Participate in patient care planning and implementation, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
