The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of optimized and competitive technical proposals, supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects. They will coordinate internal and external resources, including design, drafting, estimation, legal affairs, and professional firms, to ensure timely and cost-effective proposal delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the Bid Plan, including the proposal's organizational structure and communication channels with internal teams, partners, and external firms.
- Coordinate the internal proposal team and ensure all required human resources are mobilized.
- Implement the bid strategy in collaboration with the Project Director or Vice President – Construction, covering technical, procurement, and subcontractor strategies.
- Prepare a Project Plan with estimated costs and ensure a document management system with proper document control is in place.
- Assess construction costs (CAPEX) with the Construction Director and estimation team, and work with the O&M partner on life-cycle costs (OPEX) for a P3 project.
- Identify and optimize cost-impacting factors with professional firms and the O&M team to enhance the net present worth (NPW).
- Develop a project schedule with stakeholder input, linked to a work breakdown structure (WBS) covering design, procurement, permits, construction, and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in design-build proposal processes.
- Strong project management skills.
This role could be ideal for candidates who possess excellent project coordination and management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience, plus additional benefits such as comprehensive health and dental insurance, RRSP matching, and generous vacation time.
