We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gameplay Animator to join our team at IFG - International Financial Group.
As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality animation assets that meet or exceed the animation quality bar for our projects. Your expertise in key frame and motion capture animation will be crucial in bringing our games to life.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality animation assets that adhere to technical specifications
- Collaborate with Engineers, Technical Animators, and Rigging Directors to define and refine animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems
- Work with Designers and Technical Animators to develop gameplay and design locomotion sets
- Develop pre-visualization animation
- Collaborate effectively with the Gameplay Animation team
- Provide continuous feedback and education to teams on gameplay animation problem-solving
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience creating high-quality, in-game animation assets in the AAA game industry
- Experience in key frame and motion capture animation
- Technical understanding of animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems
- Experience working with locomotion trees and state-flow animation systems
- Proficiency in MotionBuilder and one or more 3D applications (Maya preferred)
- Self-motivated, creative problem solver, team builder, and subject matter expert
- Rigging experience is a plus

Location: Hybrid (Vancouver, BC)
Salary Range: CAD $133,000 - $138,000 annually. This salary range may vary based on factors such as geography/market, skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
