Salary

$28.71 - $30.83 hourly, Long assignment part-time position; 45 hours biweekly.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including Electrocardiograms, Signal Average Electrocardiograms, Ambulatory Monitoring, and Exercise Tolerance Testing. The specialist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring, a non-invasive monitoring device worn by patients for 24 hours or several weeks. They are responsible for preparing patients requiring stress and tilt table testing, performing stress tests under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist. The specialist will also be responsible for precepting/mentoring all new learners in the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent
  • Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
  • In the absence of candidates who meet the above qualifications, consideration may be given to those who are currently enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program
  • Current BLS (HCP) certification
  • Recent clinical experience in an ECG Department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter Monitors, Stress Testing, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors
