About the RoleOxford County Renovations Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Skilled Trades: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to construct and renovate buildings.
- Leadership and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the building trades.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
