Highway and Roadway Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway and Roadway Project Engineer to join our team at Partner Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in managing highway and roadway projects from initiation to closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the project manager in managing highway and roadway projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with project team members, clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and assist in monitoring progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for highway and roadway projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials and services required for project implementation.
- Conduct field inspections and surveys to gather data, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, and contribute to implementing effective solutions to ensure project success.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence, to support project management and reporting requirements.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering; CET or P.Eng is acceptable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highway and roadway projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of highway and roadway design standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering design software is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with project team members, clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
