Job Title: Marine Engineer (Coastal Services)

Baird & Associates Coastal Engineers Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing coastal and marine structures, including shore protection, flood risk reduction infrastructure, living shorelines, and restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate technical documents and participate in client meetings.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to utilize coastal resources effectively.
  • Analysis and design of marine and coastal structures, particularly on the Great Lakes and northern Canada.
  • Project management including planning and monitoring of project scope, budgets, deliverables, and schedule.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Civil, Coastal, Marine Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • A minimum of ten years of coastal engineering experience in a consulting or contractor role with a specific emphasis on analysis and design.
  • Strong interest in analysis, design, and implementation related to one or more of: coastal, port infrastructure, navigation and dredging, metocean, and ocean renewable energy.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience managing projects.
  • Experience developing construction documents including drawing sets, specifications, cost estimating.
