Interior Health Authority seeks a qualified candidate for a relief full-time position as a Mental Health and Substance Use Crisis Response Clinician | RCMP Liaison. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to join our welcoming team at the Rocky Mountain Lodge in Cranbrook, B.C.
About the Role
The Counselling & Treatment Clinician functions as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and as a member of a specific MHSU multi-disciplinary team. The primary objective is to provide timely, responsive, evidence-based short-term treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to complex clients with co-occurring disorders. You will function as a primary clinician utilizing various specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients, and/or their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced practice-level assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to complex clients
- Utilize various specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients, and/or their families
- Function as a member of the HCIS healthcare team and a specific MHSU multi-disciplinary team
Requirements
- Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position
- Two (2) years' recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current valid BC Driver's License
