Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Identity and Access Management (AWS IAM). As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, build, and operate high-throughput, reliable, distributed systems on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex system components while maintaining an uncompromising bar on quality.
  • Lead the design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members in growing their craft.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700/year up to $251,700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
