Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

AWS Marketplace is a curated digital catalog where customers can find, buy, deploy, and manage third-party software, data, and services needed to build solutions and run their businesses. The platform includes thousands of software listings from popular categories such as security, networking, storage, machine learning, business intelligence, database, and related professional services. Customers can quickly launch pre-configured software with just a few clicks and choose software solutions in Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), software as a service (SaaS), and other formats.

As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will own significant portions of the product and have influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. The systems are complex, and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from robust platform services to system-level pieces and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop scalable and reliable software systems
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features and system architecture
  3. Own significant portions of the product and drive technical decisions
  4. Work on complex system software and achieve operational excellence
