Job Summary

UHAUL is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Flatbed Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed truck to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Safely operate a flatbed truck to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment, to ensure safe operation.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the flatbed truck, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth transportation operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a valid driver's licence.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
