Job Summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Service Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of our fleet of equipment at customer job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and tire replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with equipment, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with company safety protocols
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Heavy duty journeyman ticket
  • Ability to operate and test equipment, including boom lifts, forklifts, and compressors
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
