Job Title: Healthcare Security Officer

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Security Officer to join our team. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients, buildings, and assets in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
  • Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
  • Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Carry out all security duties as specified, including proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols, response & assistance in emergency situations, documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift, investigating routine incidents, patient watches, parking & smoking by-law enforcement, hospital policy awareness & enforcement, access control/key control, and monthly safety inspections
Requirements:
  • Valid Security License for Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • 6+ months security experience required
  • Previous healthcare security experience is preferred
  • Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair
  • Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft)
  • Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
