At Sheridan Nurseries, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Container Grower to join our team. As a key member of our crop production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of our crops, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of our crops, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement effective crop management strategies to optimize growth and yields.
- Supervise and train a team of growers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other members of the crop production team to ensure that our crops are grown to the highest standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of crop growth, yields, and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in crop production, preferably in an ornamental setting.
- Strong knowledge of crop management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
