At 570 The Dominion of Canada General, we're seeking a seasoned expert to lead our Technology Risk Governance efforts. As our Chief Risk Governance Strategist, you'll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the business. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll drive solutions to reduce risk and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Job Description

In this role, you'll work under general supervision to develop and maintain metrics, track and monitor IT risk management issues, and execute the ITRM methodology. You'll collaborate with the IT Risk Management core team to identify and analyze risk scenarios, participate in risk analysis sessions, and support accountable parties in determining the appropriate treatment of identified risks. Additionally, you'll inventory, assess significance, assign accountability, and develop monitoring for the control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with IT Risk Director to identify and analyze risk scenarios
  • Participate in risk analysis sessions and risk assessment activity within Lines of Business (LOB)
  • Support accountable parties in determining the appropriate treatment of identified risks; identify action plans for risk remediation
  • Inventory, assess significance, assign accountability, and develop monitoring for LOB control environment
  • Provide operational support, reporting, guidance, advisory, and maintenance of risk controls, registers related processes, and controls
Requirements

To succeed as our Chief Risk Governance Strategist, you'll need:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT Risk Management or related fields such as Audit, IT Security, or Business Continuity preferred
  • College or Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field preferred
  • 4+ years of Technology Risk Management, SOC/SOX certification, and Internal Control/Control Assurance experience
  • Advanced technical knowledge to understand detailed issues around business continuity, security, and overall risk in IT
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with loosely defined issues and/or where information is available but must be further manipulated
