Job Opportunity:

The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time continuing teaching-stream appointment in the area of Environmental Sustainability.

The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

As a faculty member in the teaching stream, the expectation is that they will bring a dimension of teaching excellence and educational innovation that enhances undergraduate education and adds significantly to the quality of the student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop courses in Environmental Sustainability
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and programs in the department
  • Engage in scholarly activities and research in the field of Environmental Sustainability
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
Requirements:

  • PhD in Environmental Sustainability or a related field
  • Teaching experience in Environmental Sustainability or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
