As a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton Canada, you'll be part of a dynamic team that drives growth and success for our clients.
We're looking for an experienced professional to lead corporate tax planning and compliance engagements, helping our clients unlock tax savings and incentives. Your expertise will help us build deep, trusting relationships with our clients, providing personalized solutions to complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and mentoring a team of tax professionals on compliance and tax planning strategies.
- Developing and implementing innovative tax solutions for clients, leveraging your knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Leading review and analysis of corporate compliance engagements, personal and trust income tax returns, and other tax-related projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new opportunities for tax services.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A CPA designation or equivalent, with advanced education in taxation (e.g., In-Depth Tax Course or Master's in Taxation).
- Proven experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and/or compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present new ideas, conceptualize innovative approaches, and deliver exceptional client service.
- Solid leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing others.
