Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Systems Specialist to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.



About the Role

  • This is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week.
  • The work language is English.


In this role, you will diagnose and locate equipment faults, inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment, and install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.



Main Responsibilities

  2. Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment.
  3. Inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment.
  4. Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
  5. Repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
  6. Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.
  7. Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
  8. Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  9. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble.
  10. Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
  11. Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.
  12. Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.


Requirements

  • You must have a college diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field is required.
  • You should have strong organizational and accurate skills.


Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
