We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Software Development Specialist to join our team at Electronic Arts.



About the Role

This is a key position that requires a talented professional with expertise in software development, particularly in the areas of user interface and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and game design principles, as well as experience with core UI principles, best practices, and accessibility.



Responsibilities


  2. Work collaboratively with designers, producers, artists, and other engineers to contribute to a shared vision for compelling UI/UX features.
  3. Design and develop production-level UI/UX subsystems.
  4. Develop and refine UI/UX prototypes.
  5. Write quality code following established engineering practices.
  6. Provide time estimates for tasks.
  7. Optimize code to reach desired performance.
  8. Document designed and implemented components.
  9. Learn new technologies needed to complete tasks and grow as an engineer.


Requirements


  • 3+ years of programming experience.
  • C++ experience.
  • Understand game design principles.
  • Experience with core UI principles, best practices, and accessibility.
  • Desktop (PC/Mac) development experience required.
  • Experience with prototype and developing consumer-oriented UI systems.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine suggested.
  • Experience with mobile platforms suggested.
  • Experience building UI systems for multi-platform games, apps.
  • Experience with multiple UI frameworks.


Benefits

Electronic Arts offers a competitive base salary range, starting at $96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually in British Columbia, depending on location. We also provide a package of benefits including vacation, sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, and bonus and equity opportunities.
