AVP of Treasury Job Description

Central 1 Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP of Treasury to lead innovation and enhance operational efficiencies across diverse business lines. This role involves managing a substantial funding portfolio exceeding $10 billion in Canadian and US Dollar deposits, commercial paper, and medium-term notes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and commentaries detailing funding metrics, strategies, opportunities, and risks for the ALCO, MRC, ELT, and Board Risk Committee.
  • Review and respond to risk management reports and funding policy.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in Finance and/or Business Administration.
  • Strong quantitative techniques, analytical skills, and significant cash management and trading experience.
  • The ability to prudently manage the risks and returns of funding, cash management, and liability portfolios.
  • Strong competency in MS Office, with particular attention to Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced experience in fixed income, financial modeling, and data management.
  • Must display an understanding of capital markets etiquette and a keen sense toward building relationships with financial and market professionals.
