About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead/Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing civil engineering projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including preparation of design and documents, project management, and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian University.
  • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development consulting/design.
  • Registered as a licensed Professional Engineer or a relevant L.E.T. with the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading and managing projects from initiation to closure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
