Oshawa PUC Energy Services is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Technician to assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electromechanical systems and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems, including calibrating equipment and instruments.
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support project planning and execution.
  • Conduct safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Install, commission, and operate electrical and electronic equipment and systems, and diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to ensure accurate documentation.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in electromechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The position requires physical demands and the ability to work under pressure.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work

The regular hours of work are 35 hours per week.
