Job Opportunity

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a Research Assistant 1 to support our team in the Laboratory of Behavioural Neuroendocrinology and the NDA. This is a casual position reporting to the lab manager and research program manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic literature searches and provide research support.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis, including primary data collection and data entry.
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality by utilizing database management skills and proficiency in Windows-based operating systems and word processing packages.
  • Maintain study records, securely store and back up data as required.
  • Collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Secondary school and/or specialty courses, with experience working or volunteering in a health services or academic setting.
  • Experience with data entry and analysis, with knowledge of AI model training or AI training tasks an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software for basic statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical/research team environment.
  • Self-directed learning and collaboration skills.
