About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our culinary operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food safety protocols are followed, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with our Chef Manager to plan and develop menus and recipes that meet the needs of our guests and align with our company's promotional themes and Season Inspirations Program.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and develop our kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements.
  • Cost Control: Work with our Chef Manager to control costs and ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to ensure that we are working together effectively to achieve our goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years' experience in the hospitality/food service industry.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of menu and labor costing, as well as computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and GFS.
  • Leadership Skills: Effective leadership style, positive outgoing personality, and effective listening skills.
