Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc. in Nova Scotia.

Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan and manage budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring financial compliance.
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Supervise a team of 1-10 people, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
