Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan and manage budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
